The vision of the scheme is to harness the talent and potential of students within the state to address significant scientific and technological challenges that have a direct impact on society.
Objective
The primary objective of this scheme is to:
- Encourage students in professional and scientific disciplines to undertake innovative research projects focused on solving specific scientific, technological, and societal problems.
- Provide financial support to undergraduate and postgraduate students in fields such as Agriculture, Biology, Chemistry, Environment, Medical, Physics, Social Sciences, Veterinary Sciences and Engineering for completing dissertation work.
- Foster innovation and research at the college and university level by incentivizing students to develop practical solutions to real-world issues towards Vikshit Bharat/Sustainable Developments.
Outcome
- The scheme empowers students by providing maximum grant of ₹10,000 per research projects, leading to increased engagement in scientific investigation.
- Granted projects are presented in seminars cum exhibitions, facilitating knowledge sharing and peer learning.
- Recognition and awards are given for outstanding projects, motivating students to pursue further innovation and research.
- Ultimately, the initiative leads to the development of practical solutions that benefit society while fostering a culture of research and innovation among students.
- Promote Students to publish papers in peer reviewed journals and patenting.
Proposals will be invited once a year and must be submitted in accordance with the TNSCST guidelines and prescribed format
